Hi I’m Jenny; English not your first language? Hit our Google Translate button on the left menu, and we’ll make it easy for you! See my brother Fred above on the spotlight boat, and I’m holding a plate of Kakadu’s wet season fruits! Come and try some, they’re delicious! You might want to learn how to weave a pandanus bracelet, throw a hunting spear, play the didgeridoo with the boys, experience Kakadu’s only night wildlife boat cruise, or try our 3 course dinner cooked on the coals. And if you want to camp the night with us, we can put you up in one of our deluxe safari tents!
We have got lots of new tours happening in 2010, including Kakadu Culture Camp 4WD Safari, where we host the AAT Kings/Aussie Adventure 3 day Kakadu Aboriginal culture tour previously located at Hawk Dreaming in northern Kakadu. We’ll look after you for 2 nights at our place, be special guests on our Kakadu by Night tour, and then you’re guided around the best of Kakadu’s spectacular World Heritage Area, including JimJim Falls and Yellow Water! There are 3 small group departures/week from Darwin in May-October. Look at our website and check out our photo album to see how you can have a close-up experience of Kakadu’s living Aboriginal culture and amazing wildlife.
If you’ve had enough of hotels with hundreds of people come and stay with us, we’re way out bush in the middle of Kakadu, you’ll love it! So c’mon, we’ll get the fire going, boil the billy for a hot cuppa and have a chat! Go to our CONTACT US page for a Google satellite image and directions to our camp. Full tour details are on our Tours web page. Any questions? Just e-mail us or give us a call. We cater for individual tourists, large special interest groups, even film crews and photo journalists. I look forward to welcoming you to Kakadu; the home of Crocodiles, Barramundi and Namarrgon Lightning Man!. Over the toursist season check out Andy’s Blog and twitter for what we’re up to, and other news about the camp! See you soon, Boh Boh; that’s Goodbye in our Gundjeihmi language!
p.s. for great info about our UNESCO World Heritage Area, maps, tours and activities check out www.kakadu.com.au and Google map of our camp.
